Parcus Medical™ Launches the New SLiK™ Fixation Platform at the Arthroscopy Association of North America 2018 Annual Meeting

Sarasota, FL. -- Parcus Medical, a leader in customer driven sports medicine innovation, has announced that it will formally launch the SLiK Fixation Platform, comprised of two new medical device families in its Suture Anchor and Tenodesis System product lines, at the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) 2018 Annual Meeting (Booth #413).

“These devices represent the newest advancement in fixation technology, making the tension and insertion processes more convenient for surgeons,” said Bart Bracy, Vice President of Marketing & Business Development at Parcus Medical.

Benefits of the New SLiK Fixation Platform include:

  • Greater control – Surgeons can independently adjust suture or tendon tension prior to fixation. Tension is held constant during anchor or screw advancement.
  • More convenience – These new devices will simplify the insertion technique by allowing for one-handed advancement of the screw or anchor, using an Activation Button.

The benefits of the New SLiK Fixation Platform are common to all implants in the following medical device families:

The SLiK™ Knotless Screw-In Anchors – The SLiK is ideal for rotator cuff repair and tendon fixation. Featuring a large Suture Guide, SLiK Anchors can accommodate and position multiple suture and suture tape configurations for ultimate flexibility in repair technique. Available in materials PEEK and PEEK CF and in diameters 4.75, 5.5 and 6.25mm.

The SLiK™ Fix Screw-In Tenodesis System – The SLiK Fix is designed for biceps tenodesis procedures but can be used in both small and large-joint repairs. The Tendon Washer and Targeting Tip aid in tendon placement by allowing surgeons to engage and advance the tendon to an appropriate depth in the bone socket and to assess tension prior to fixation. Available in materials PEEK and PEEK CF and in diameters 7.0, 8.0, and 9.0mm.
